It’s all about serving the biking needs of the New Orleans community. You can get a standard bike repair, purchase or rent a bike, have a bike refurbished, metal fabrication, welding, and more. When it comes down to it, Peter Stanley, our bike master mechanic, is most passionate about creating custom work, tailored to the unique needs of the customer. That is what’s at the heart of Baller Quest. His bike-centric contraptions dazzle and awe, reflecting a remarkable mix of ingenuity and pragmatism.ew
Peter Stanley has been working on bikes since 2007, when he built his first super tall “freak bike” at a local non-profit start-up in Denton, Texas. In 2011 he moved to New Orleans. By 2013, he had made it a New Year’s resolution, and started Baller Quest. He started a small bike shop with a couple of partners. Eventually, he found out he needed more space and moved to an artist loft, where he concentrated more on creating freak bikes, and then ran his own shop on Port St.
In 2016, Baller Quest moved to its current location on Derbigny Street. Peter now works on bigger projects, has expanded his clientele, continues to hone his craft, cater to the community’s bike needs, and make bike-centric contraptions.
Baller Quest would like to continue to develop its ability to meet the community’s needs and expand services.
